I don't design for how a screen looks in a mockup. I design for the moment someone's actually using it clicking, scrolling, trying to get something done. If it doesn't hold up there, it doesn't matter how good it looked in Figma.
Outside of work I'm still looking at type on a shop sign, at how an app handles an error, at layouts that shouldn't work but do. I notice the structure of things before I notice the style.
